Design process

Extruded plastic profiles can be produced in virtually any conceivable shape. During the design process, we translate sketches and ideas into a concrete, technically manufacturable profile. We carefully align geometry, functionality, and material behaviour to ensure an optimal outcome. Our Technical Product Designers assess designs for manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, and functionality, and identify opportunities for further optimisation.

The best designs emerge from the dialogue between our product designers and the customer’s technical specialists. You have in-depth knowledge of the application; we have in-depth knowledge of extruded plastic profiles. This collaboration consistently results in an optimised design, a profile that can be produced more efficiently and that closely matches your requirements.

Prototypes

Enitor has the capability to produce prototypes entirely in-house using 3D Printing. Our 3D printers can produce profile lengths of up to one and a half metres. A Prototype provides a clearer picture of the final profile and can be used to test the design for functionality. This allows improvements to be incorporated into the design before tooling development begins, reducing both risk and development time.

Structure and Control Throughout the Development Process

To keep the development process manageable and transparent, we work with a professional Project Management platform. This enables us to monitor progress, quality, and communication throughout the entire trajectory.

Using CAD Design, technical drawings, and 3D prototypes, we develop the design step by step. By building in fixed review and testing moments, we can continuously evaluate and adjust where necessary. This ensures a thoroughly considered final design that is fully ready for production.
