Tooling development
The die determines the quality and reproducibility of the extruded profile. For this reason, Enitor Primo develops all tooling entirely in-house. This allows us to move quickly and maintain full control throughout the process.
Our specialists translate the design into a technically optimised die, taking into account dimensional stability, production speed, and process consistency. This forms the basis for a reliable and repeatable production process.
Soft Tooling vs High-Speed Tooling
The investment in extrusion tooling can be considerable. Enitor therefore offers different options, ranging from soft tooling to high-speed tooling. The right choice depends on the required production volume. For lower volumes, keeping the tooling investment manageable takes priority over production speed. For higher volumes, the most advanced extrusion die is the logical choice: the higher upfront investment is offset by a significantly lower cost per metre. Each tooling option also comes with a different lead time. When fast turnaround is a priority, soft tooling is the preferred solution.
Precision and Optimisation at Every Stage
During tooling development, we use CAD Design, technical drawings, and 3D prints. Fixed review milestones and comprehensive testing are built into the process to refine die performance at every stage.
This structured approach minimises deviations and ensures consistent product quality. The result is an efficient and stable production process, precisely aligned with the specific requirements of the extruded profile.
